As I'm already in Canada, they didn't require me to provide new biometrics. The biometrics code is already displayed in my IRCC account. I hope it keeps that way haha

How long have most of you waited in the "final decision pending" limbo? We're going on 10 months and feeling very antsy and a little confused. I thought for sure we'd know by now. My timeline is below
2020-03-27: Files sent to CIO in Sydney NS
2020-04-14: Files delivered and signed for at CIO, Sydeny NS
2022-12-01 : Email received from IRCC. Application Number & UCI linked to GC Online Account. Request for Biometrics Fee. Timeline estimate listed as September 2022 with a note saying our application is taking longer to process than usual.
2022-12-02: Biometrics fee paid
2023-03-12: Invitation for Pre-arrival Services
2023-03-23: Request Letters for Biometrics, Medical, and Background update
2023-09-25: Latest Update: Final Decision Pending
Haven't heard anything since September 2023. Initial estimated completion date was September 2022. Primary applicant is a US citizen and dependent is a dual US/UK citizen.
Any idea on how to inquire about the delay, or is this normal?
I noticed that, based on your timeline, you took the medical exam before submitting the additional documents. I thought that once you received the request for the medical examination, it should be considered that your eligibility has been approved.
In my case, I sent my additional documents and a week later I received the medical request and the PAL. Now I'm waiting for the results of my medical examination.
Considering I'll pass the medical exam and my background is fine, can I consider my eligibility approved after receiving the PAL and the medical examination or can I still not rest assured?
I think the timing of ADR/medical is determined by the officer/visa office but likely if your application has passed initial eligibility, you get both at the same time and if the officer requires more clarification/proof they request ADR prior to medical.
In my case I wasn’t asked to provide any further evidence of my self-employment but just had to supply updated forms since there was a 3 year gap between when I applied and when they began final processing. So they needed me to provide updated background & travel for those 3 years only.
I think now you have received your medical & PAL your initial eligibility has been proven & they are doing the final eligibility/background checking. So I think it’s unlikely there would be any issues at this stage and you will hopefully get your decision within the next month. For me it was approx 5 weeks after I received the PAL and on that same date my background was updated to completed.
I didn’t fully relax until the day I got my eCOPR and became an official landed permanent resident

For me my Final Decision was updated on June 4th and I got the email to register for the PR portal 3 days later on June 7th. I received my eCOPR on June 28th and my final decision was then updated to June 4th, 2024 - your application was approved. My background was also updated to completed that day but dated June 4th.
I don’t think a delay that long is normal unless there’s a hold up with your final eligibility/background check. I think it can take a bit longer for those who are US citizens or hold dual residency. But still that’s a frustratingly long wait after everything else is completed and if I was you I’d either try calling or send a web form enquiry about the delay.

Hello everyone,
I have submitted online my self employed application in March 2022. But I haven't received any response yet! No temporary AOR no application number! I have sent multiple emails and webforms but I haven't received any proper response yet. Do you know what should I do? Has anyone applied online here? Is this normal?

I’d post this in the 2022 thread because everyone in this thread applied on paper based applications. Most of us received a temporary acknowledgment of receipt/temporary application number within a month or two (mine was approx 3.5 weeks after my package was delivered).
I’m not sure online applications are processed the same so best to check with others in more recent threads (2021/2022) who also applied online. For most of my online applications I’ve received a confirmation email and application number the next day.
I don’t know but I presume on the IRCC website? I’ve just seen others post about calling but it may only be possible if you’re within Canada. For the webform you can access it when you log in to your gckey or google IRCC web form (I did it that way when the one in my account was showing an error and was able to link it to my application).
