Yes, it's being a long six months and still waiting!!!!

Ammar, they didn't ask for any additional document till date and as far as PCC is concerned the same was (in original) also submitted along with all other documents at the time of submission of application.

I had submitted my application in the month of November 2018 and the same was received by IRCC on 26th of November-2018 and at that time bio metrics were not required for Indians. It got started from 01st January 2019 on wards and even IRCC website clearly states that those ( obviously Indians) who applied before December 2018 and their application also accepted before this deadline doesn't need to go for bio metric.

I see. Well, on the day I received the AOR, I received also a letter from IRCC asking me to pay for biometrics. The letter says:

As of 31 July 2018, biometrics became a requirement for some IRCC applicants.

- 13 Mar 2019: AOR LVO
- 28 May 2019: Request for Police cert
- 10 Jul 2019: Submit Police cert (takes me a while to get PC from 2 different countries)

Now waiting for the next step. Most probably medical check or maybe(hopefully) passport request

Local Visa Office that processes your application. After AOR, they will forward it to the LVO

Thanks for providing the timeline. I lived in four countries since I hit 18. And I applied for police clearance certificate (PCC) from Sweden where I am living now – from Sweden only.

Let’s hope this is enough. Getting PCC from four countries is time-consuming process.

Date of delivery: Unknown. Postnord’s tracking system was down.

26 July 2019: Application received by IRCC.

07 August 2019: Acknowledgement of Receipt (AOR). Unique Client Identifier (UCI) and Application Number were provided (by e-mail). I received also a letter from IRCC asking me to pay for the biometrics.

07 August 2019: I paid for biometrics fees (CAD 85).

Wow, 4 countries. If I am not mistaken, any 18 years or older staying 6 months in a row in a country need a PC. Try to go through "documents checklist" form, item "15".

Yea. I saw it. Item 15 states also “if you are unable to obtain the necessary police certificates, you may still send your application to the CIO without them.”

That's the timeline of my application so far. No, I did not send any proof of fund.

so how they know how much we have ? i mean in the application form we have to say how much we have in the bank ?

Yes, you can definitely submit the application without the PC. I submitted my application without the PC as one of the countries requires letter from IRCC before I can request for PC. However, do take note as well that at the end of item 15 it states, "....we strongly recommend that you take steps to obtain your police certificates now to avoid future delays. You must be ready to submit when requested by an officer.

So in the end you will still need to submit PC or convince IRCC that it's impossible to obtain PC from a particular country.
