Hello everyone! I have a question in regards to the letters of reference from my employers. I’ve gathered 3 letters but do they need to be notarized? How much will that affect the application?
I read that notarizing letters means my employer has to go to the notary office too and sign there. That is a bit troublesome some of them are abroad.

@leavingonajetplane2016... For self employed application you might have mentioned which province you will be living in, in the application.
What if we land and stay somewhere else?
Hi all, I am preparing my document at this moment, and in the checklist it shows that we have to send the original of the IELTS report together with the application form. However, in the form of imm0008_6ae under the language proficiency column, it shows that we have to provide a copy of the report. Which one should I send? Original or copy? Thanks a lot!

I sent in an original - 2nd copy. So I got 2 original result sheets from British Council and sent 1 original with the application, and still have 1 original with me.

It doesn't matter as far as I saw from my research. A few of the people I spoke to moved to a different place other than was stated on the application form. This doesn't apply to PNP though. HTH.

You should send original. If you need another original copy, you can ask IELTS for it or make a photocopy. I think it's better to follow the checklist.

Is it possible (or necessary) to link the paper application under federal self-employed category to an online one? If yes, does doing so help in getting updates and/or sending requested documents subsequently? How is this done, if it is possible to do it at all?

When you get AOR you will be required to link your account and the benefit is for quicker communication between CIC and applicant. Yes it makes sending updated documents easier too.
Wondering if you can help with some answers. I applied for the Federal Self-Employed Program and below is my timeline:
We received your application for permanent residence on December 29, 2017.
We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s) on March 20, 2018.
We started processing your application on March 20, 2018.
We sent you medical instructions on December 3, 2018. To avoid delays, please provide us the information requested in the letter as soon as possible. Please consider delays in mail delivery before contacting us.
Medical results have been received. (that info got updated on December 2018)
Now, I applied thru a law firm in Canada but I am currently residing on US. We submitted medicals right on the month of December but since that, the status hasn't changed. Is anyone aware how the order of this works because I see some people saying that they wouldn't request Medicals if the paperwork wasn't cleared but some other people say that they still have to go thru background/paperwork processing...? Since Medicals "technically" have a valid time of a year, could they make that request again at the end of this process? Is anyone have a familiar timeline and what should I expect from CIC at this point?
