Security screening - how long it will take?

Here I am still stuck after 8 months of SS / IP2. Around 250+ days under SS and counting.

M stuck since 22aug 2017 and counting....

I have similar experience and learned from GCMS notes that I was selected to be SS since April 2017. Have you got PPR yet?

For me, I am still waiting for them to clear my security screening. Hope to get your good news.

Yes I have received my PPR on Feb-2018. 9+ months of total SS. 14 months from AOR date.

Glad to hear that and congrats! Hopefully I will got the PPR soon. BTW, do you know how to get information about SS status? cause from GCMS notes, the section of Security Screening is all in blank.

There is no way to get SS details. But you can get CSIS & CBSA notes. They are both involved with your SS clearance. At least CSIS report mentioned, if they have completed their part and sent report to CBSA team. I guess my CSIS & CBSA notes request triggered my clearance from SS or made them work on my case.

Do you happen to know if security activity was updated from Not Started to blank, does that mean security check has initiated?
I'm trying to figure out if my security check has started based on my gcms notes. It didn't show any start date.

Yes I had 1 not started entry and other blanked out Security entries. Same for SS too.

Earlier CSIS were taking only fax / mail requests. Since Jan-2018, they have cancelled old method and went for ATIP route. But both these notes have very long processing time. I received my CSIS & CBSA notes after 4+ months.
