I think you'll be just fine. It sounds like you've been completely upfront and honest with CIC thus far. It is understandable that in a gay relationship, you will often not get the same approval from family as in a hetero one. VO's are not stupid and they don't live in a vacuum. This is why all cases are read through and considered on an individual basis. Every situation is different and some couples face more adversity than others.
