Secondary Clearances

I applied on 25th of April online from Singapore Office.
I emailed them on 11th of May, they replied that my application is currently under secondary clearances review, I emailed them today again, they said the same, that my application is still pending the secondary clearances, and this delay is out of their control since they may need to contact with external authorities.

Do anyone knows what is secondary clearance ? and how long does it take ???????

Basically you can use the case specific inquiry and they reply or you can use this email spore@international.gc.ca - this email is for the Singapore office.

first, its isn't advisable contacting CIC when the processing time hasn't elapsed, it quite shows a lot of desperation.

Sometimes, applying from a second country other than one's country could take some real time of verification and all

in my opinion, Secondary clearance is just an equivalent terms to eligibility review and don't let the "strange language" both you

these days, online application tends to take longer than paper route. Its advisable only to contact CIC when the said processing of a region has elapsed

yep, applied for parents, secondary clearances at Singapore Office. It has been more than 1 year of waiting, same message, email response, waiting for officer review, waiting for clearance etc. Its strange and confusing.

Hi, I am waiting for my application finalization since 2022, but unfortunately, the decision has not yet been made on my WP application, now they responded that your application is currently being processed and additional verifications are being conducted.
