I have seen from messages that who has applied through gckey second time has already got ppr.. Those who applied through ircc did anyone get responses?

Hello friends,
As a temporary worker in Canada, I have applied for my wife's visitor application on April 28. Due to the continuous lockdown situations in india, they have not processed my wife's emergency visitor visa application to reunite with the family. As I got my new extended work permit, based on the thread they asked to file one more application if our status has changed. So I have applied another visitor application on September 13. Yesterday we have received biometric confirmation letter as my wife has already given the biometrics long back for another rejected applications.

Can anyone let me know if they started processing the application and how many days will it take further?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.

I don't think there is any pattern to processing time. Everyone seems to have a different timeline.

It's true; GCKey re-applicants are getting faster responses than IRCC Portal applicants.

However, it's too early to compare, because IRCC promised IRCC Portal applicants 14-30 days.

And there's another thing: IRCC calls the IRCC Portal "Portal", whilst it calls the GCKey "Secured Portal". I was asking myself, if the IRCC Portal isn't secured.

I'm about to begin a new application (my 1st application) but I'm confused as to which portal to use as a new applicant. The new IRCC Portal or GC Key.

The new portal says they will reply within 14 to 30 business days.. GC Key does not give any timeline.

But I have seen people getting PPR from applying through GC Key.

Still uncertain as to which one is the best way.
