Search for a job before activating OWP?

Hi Everyone,

I've been searching but haven't found the answer to my question. My European girlfriend has been granted a 1 year OWP. I am wondering if she can come to Canada as a visitor and find a job prior to activating her OWP. Once she finds a job that she likes, she will flagpole to activate the visa and work for the full year. What I am wondering is if it is allowed for her to search for work and interview while she is on visitor status? I don't want her to waste valuable time from her work permit searching for a job if it possible for her to find work as a visitor instead.

OWP have an expiry date on them... what do you mean by "activate"?

There is nothing wrong with looking for a job and doing interviews as a visitor.
