SDS Visa Approved after Deferral Request

Hello,

I'd applied for Student Visa (SDS) for Fall 2022 intake. We were required by the university to either confirm our presence or defer to the next term. Looking at the high waiting times and personal reasons, I chose to defer to next term. A couple of days after deferring, I received my visa approval. I am yet to get the updated LOA from the University. How do I handle this situation ? If I send my passport for stamp right now, the duration will be from September (origin intake) while I'll be starting from January. Do we need to inform IRCC?

Is the deferral final? Try contacting the uni - may be they haven't processed your deferral yet.
