Hello,

Can anyone suggest me what should be the next step as per my timeline,

Applied for Study Visa under SDS category from India - May 10, 2023
Biometric and Updated on the portal - May 16, 2023
Medical Passed - May 24, 2023

Since then, there has been no update on my profile,

Regarding my profile - I have a study gap of almost 4 years, been working since then, any suggestions on why is there a delay?

Eligibility and Background verification is showing on the application tracker and GC key that it is "In Progress"

Any advice would be appreciated,

I am in the same boat, study gap of 6 years for work experience, intended program Ryerson MBA.
I applied to SDS via the IRCC representative portal on 20th May from Pakistan
Submission Confirmation - May 20
Biometrics Collection Letter - May 20
Biometrics Completed - May 23
Medical Passed - May 30
Background Check - Processing, Decision - Application in progress
Eligibility - Haven't started

Getting really worried about the delay and wondering what to do because the representative is just asking to wait.

I just checked, my eligibility review has not started. Only the background verification is under way. And yes, I hope we get it within this week

Congratulations!! I got my OPR on 16 June around 1-2 PM IST. My timeline was:

Submission Confirmation - May 17
Biometrics Collection Letter - May 17
Biometrics Completed + Update - May 24
Medical Passed - June 7 (Test date was 3 May'23)
Eligibility - June 12
OPR - June 16
Background Check - Completed with OPR
Passport submitted - Today

I have received my study permit and visitor visa from India in May 2023. My passport and Visa has my name as "SAIKARTHIK". I have applied for reissue of my passport as it is going to expire before my studies and My new passport issued in June 2023 has my name as " SAI KARTHIK" which is actually correct as per my educational documents.

Does this small space in my name can cause problems at border? Please help

since then there have been several ghost updates. tracker says background and Eligibility are in progress. Waiting for a positive news hopefully.

Is anyone with submission date of May first week still waiting to hear back on their SDS application?

Submission Confirmation - 6th June
Biometrics Collection Letter - 7th June
Biometrics Completed - 12th June
Medical Passed - 14th June (gave upfront on 7th)
Background Check/ eligibility- Processing
Decision - Approved (22 June)

SDS from India. Took 10 days if we start counting from biometric completion.

@DiDi_2617 Just stay patient, your decision shouldn't take longer than 14 weeks at most. If it does, talk to your college or uni about deferral. Webforms do not help, just wait a bit longer

Thanks for encouraging me. I am trying to stay patient, although I could not sleep for days. In fact, there are only 4 days left, and my waiting period will be 14 weeks. And as usual, I have not received any updates. I hope I can receive an email from the IRCC soon.

Hi, I made an appointment after I got Biometric Collection Letter on May 20 & got appointment for 23 May.
