I have applied for Canada study permit under SDS from India and below are my timelines

Applied - 25th oct 2023
Biometric - 31st oct 2023
Medical passed - 9th nov 2023
Eligibility not started
Background verification under process

It's been 43 days since biometric still no update, can someone share their views on my situation

I have same timeline, mine has 48 days since biometric, awaiting application decision

Yeah sure,
Application was filed on the 6th of October
Biometrics on the 12th
BVL on the 31st of October and,
PPR on the 5th of Dec

Biometrics: 9th November
Medical exam passed: 7th November 2023
Eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Background: We are processing your background check

I have to arrive in Canada before the 8th of January when my Master's Degree starts.

Your other post says you are from China. Processing of study permits for Chinese students is taking over a year or more. Background checks are stuck in processing due to Chinese-Canadian relations. There are many news articles on it.

No, I'm still waiting. I submitted a new one in IRCC portal on 17th Dec, cause $10000 more will be required for GIC.

I had submitted the application on 9th December and biometrics updated on 13th. My first attempt . Upfront medicals still not updated . Sds from India? Is yours still a first attempt?

Yes it is my first time and I applied from Pakistan, I had my upfront medical exam done, it was updated on my portal on 21st December that i passed the medical exam.

Hi Hope you are doing well my profile got a ghost update today that after my medical passed I completed my biometrics and it was updated now they are reviewing my eligibility, that is all that was updated today. Any updates from your side?
