I just wanted to let you know that my wife's got the response to her RQ 3 weeks after sending it. So, RQs can be processed really fast too.
Here's her time line:
Sept 2012 - applied for citizenship
Jan 11, 2014 - passed the test
Feb 15, 2014 - requested to fill the RQ
Mar 17, 2014 - sent the RQ to CIC
Apr 9, 2014 - invited to take the test on Apr 25, 2014
We don't know if she has to go through an interview at the time she goes to the oath ceremony.
woow, that's really fast, congrats! Hopefully with those millions they invested to speed up citizenship processings we will be able to get our passports from A to Z just in 7-8 months. They just need to keep up a good job in CIC, ehh.

Dare I ask why your wife have to pass the citizenship test twice?

Is it something new?

I think he means his wife got invitation to take THE OATH not the test that's why he's asking if there is possibility of her being interviewed on oath date. BTW the answer is NO. no more interviewing on oath date i guess
congrats !

Applied in Sep, 2012 and test in Jan, 2013.. that's pretty long 16 month to get test date compare to these days people are getting test dates within 5-6 month. A huge difference in processing time in last 18 months..
