RQ before test , timeline

hi krishnaemp, have you got any updates? I also need to take the test this week in mississauga. applied in march 2011, and four years until this moment, though my own fault to miss previous tests in 2012.
one thing i'm not sure is whether this is a result of the RQ review, i.e., RQ is done, or it is only a separate test independent of RQ? The latest ATIP indicates a "DX2 - final test" instruction from St. Clair, and the office has also changed back to Mississauga (home). Thanks.

I just got my oath letter and it is going to be on april 2nd. Good luck to you. I think if you have missed your first test, this is going to be your last chance to attend as well as pass the test. They already told me it will take two months because both my RCMP and CSIS clearances are expired.

Isn't ordering ATIP useless?
or does it somehow nudge the slow system?

If not, screw ordering ATIP, just call them everyday until they give it to you.

no progress show ? hope for the best calling cic twice a week...

sometime get polite reply and some time rude ??? but all in all

reply is same file assigned to officer..

Reply received etc.. after that no movement.

My RQ is simple extensive travel and migrated from Middle east...

The CIT 171 is detailed one that the applicant normally receives from CIC. There's also a mini RQ version that gets sent to the applicants in some cases asking for very specific information.

In ATIP, how do you know that it has been assigned to an officer.

My Current ATIP report on PAGE 2 has a field:

APPLICATION ASSIGNMENT:
Assigned to:
Assigned by:

Is this the critical field which WHEN FILLED shows it is being looked at by a CO ? So, if blank in my case does it mean it is yet to start being reviewed in the local office and is waiting to be assigned?

Can those of you with this field filled given me some insights ? Thanks

Sorry for disappointing you but it looks as your file is in "process" of collecting dust for now.
My file was transferred to St.Clair in April 2014 and was assigned to officer in January 2015.
And now just waiting and waiting and no one knows how long it can take.

my file assigned to officer November 2014... no progress since than....

Anyone in this forum have any idea how long it will be with the officer any

time lime... total time elapsed 39 months since I applied.
