RPRF AND PASSPORT REQUEST IN 5 MONTHS!

Yes, you are right but i did electronic fingerprinting but it is still taking time.
The only second scenario i can think of is there might be already a criminal record on my name (lol may be because i got a common name i guess) which will ultimately take longer to process as RCMP will have to manually check all prints. Well that means its just my bad luck but then my friend is on the same place as me.

Well, honestly I don't know how this system works. But i have applied it three times so far since 2007. Once in 2008 i beleive and I got it in 1 and a half week, and then I had to apply twice last month because first time I forgot to put in my application number on the mail i sent out, so just to be on safe side I re-applied and again it took them less than a week and RCMP sent it directly to the CPP-OTTAWA.

So, I donno why it would take long in some cases. Yeah that could be a possibility that your name is pretty common and they have to go through whole bunch of records to clear the name.

Yeah, all I know so far I called them to ask for what kin of things I need and the oficer on other end says, " Your passport and landing documents and it's 24/7, which is good!

But I am planning to take all teh documents with me specially my recent paystubs, may be a job letter and all other documents I submitted just in case and in the meantime i'll keep learning more about what is the exact procedure. I hope this last step will go smoothly and we'll have our landing done before christmas. I am really looking fwd. to it. I have checked my tracking number of Canada post and they recieved my passports this morning. I am hoping them to be back early after next week and then probably I will do the landing on the same weekend.
