My family applied for immigration to Canada about 10 years ago and it was refused. Around 6-7 years ago, we also applied for TRV twice which was again refused because the VO was not convinced we would come back.

I recently (2 months ago) applied for a student visa which was refused as I had not submitted my SOP and in my refusal letter the box "purpose of visit" was checked.

Should I try applying for a student visa again? I've heard that it might be a risk since if I am refused it damages the passport and affects future travel.
Would these refusals affect my visas to other countries as well? Do you think it is a wise decision for me to apply again or is it too much of a risk?
