Right to PR fee - can it cause delay if paid later?

Should the Right to PR fee which is 490$ be paid initially while submitting the documents post ITA or can we pay at the end of the processing and when they ask to submit the payment. If we can pay towards the end of the processing, would it cause any delay to the application, if so by how much?

well yes it will ofcourse if its paid in advance then they won't have to come back to you to have you pay that fee .which will obviously delay your application a bit.

Your application will progress immediately upon payment. If you can, just pay in advance, you'll be able to get a refund on it anyway in the event that your application fails.

Not much of a time wasted. you get a req and pay online, and back to process. I personally feel its just a matter of day or two. But in return you get to know that your application is complete and eligibility is met. I opted not to pay.
