Thanks Amit for asking this. You have saved my 2 months :)

The link that you shared is for Canadian Experience Class anyways.

Hello Friends, Following is a summary of my overall preparations. I request you all to please review and suggest me anything required to be added.

- Recommendation letters are extra information which CIC asks people to refrain from submitting.
- You seem to be from India, so you don't have any National ID.

Regards

Good Luck :)

Hi Friends,

One more thing which was suggested to me by one of my senior who is a Canadian Citizen and I thought I should share with you all. All your educational documents we must get authenticated / Apostle by Ministry of External Affairs. This is required in addition to the Educational Credential Assessment. Later when in Canada it may be a case that they say that this degree is not authentic. There is no harm as the fee is only Rs. 22/- per document but the process is lengthy as we have to go to the University Registrar to get it authenticated than to HRD of the State in which the University is situated and than MEA. >:(

One issue is a big concern that if the Degree is laminated than they refused to authenticate it ::) My degree is laminated. De-lamination is dangerous :-[ it may peel off the hologram as well.

Thanks

Amit

Although my degree was authenticated by the Ministry of Ext. Affairs as part of the employment VISA in UAE, we can still request additional ECA Reports in original. Logically, Employers in Canada should be satisfied with a 'copy' of it as long as you are able to produce an original version for authenticity.
