Returning Home country during Implied status

My mother is in Canada on Visitor visa (valid until June 2024) and she applied for extension on visitor visa on June 09, 2018 as her 6 month stay was expiring on 14 June, 2018. Her application is still under process but she wants to return back to home country (India). What happens if she leaves Canada before a decision has been made? Does she need to inform CIC before leaving Canada as she is in Implied status, if yes then how can we do so?
Please advise.

She can leave. Her implied status ends obviously. I would send a CSE that she has left although not sure it will make a difference and you may get an extension that will no longer be valid. She should spend some time at home before returning to Canada.
