I want to know how the 90 days for restoration work.
If I apply to renew my study permit before it expires, but got a refusal letter. Does the 90 days counter start when I received my refusal letter or it starts when my old study permit expires? Technically I still have student status while I was waiting to receive my study permit decision under implied status. So I officialy lost my student status when the refusal letter was sent to me. So am I correct that the 90 days start when they sent me the refusal letter? Because it will be unfair to me if the process takes more than 90 days and if the 90 days counter starts on the original expiry date, I would have no chance to restore.
What does the letter say about restoring status because it should say you can? Reasons for refusal? You cannot study (or work) now until study permit is approved.

Hi, I'm also in this situation. I'm within the 90 days to apply for restoration, but I wasn't able to get the CAQ in time. A counselor suggested that I apply for restoration as a visitor.
