My wife's visitor visa extension application got refused. She is out of status now since Aug 5th, 2016. I am applying for restoration of status through online.
I have few questions...
How does the restoration of visitor status work ?
If the restoration gets accepted, does it implicitly mean extension of Visitor status ? Or will i be required to apply for extension separately ?
Can i apply for restoration of status and also extension of visitor visa in the same application ??
One of the question in the IMM 5708 reads like ...
3. I am applying for one or more of the following
a. Extension of my temporary resident status
b. Restoration of temporary resident status as a visitor
c. Initial temporary resident permit or estension of temporary resident permit.

Restoration and extension are mutually exclusive (you cannot extend something that needs to be restored, and you cannot restore something that can be extended).
