Hi friends, have today received letter from CIU, Sydney, Novascotia, informing that my application has been sent to visa office and I need to submit the detailed application with all supportings to local visa office. Time line
Application sent on 14.01.2009
Received by CIU on 22.01.2009
Response letter dated 20.02.2009
Letter posted on 24.02.2009
Received by me on 26.03.2009

I am given 120 days from date of ciu letter ie 20.02.2009, meaning i have already lost 35 days!!!

I have not sent to ciu
(a) Photographs
(b) IELTS results
(c) Originals of any certificates

Now I have most of the documents including ielts results, will get my employer certificate and submit the set to cic local office.

Which visa office are you with?
Submit by courier if you can since the postal service seems bad.
CIU took a month to repond to you, which is long in itself. Maybe they are getting more applications now.

Congrats and good luck.

Hi Rupeshhari, Thanks. Pretoria, South africa is my visa office. The response times in the past is as bad as New Delhi. Hopefully with new regulations, I should be able to succeed earlier. I will for sure send by courier, I can not depend on local postal system.

I also applied under federal skilled worker in March 2008, now i got a letter from New delhi Visa office in January 2009 asking me to submit a full application.I want clearification on following points

1. In case of additional family information, when filling the information for my spouse and dependent children, will their name be entered in first coloumn that is "applicant"?
2.Do i have to send original marksheet and certificates in university sealed envelope.Because in the letter from visa office they have not mentioned about the university sealed envelope but in visa office specific instructions it is mentioned to send original transcripts in university sealed envelope. in my case I have to travel from one corner of India to other to get this job done. Please advise.

I am not sure about the additional family information but i think the person who fills in the form, fills it as applicant. Lets wait for others to answer.

As for university sealed envelope, different people differ on this. I believe you have to get originals in a university sealed envelope. I had to get mine from Africa, Asia and Americas. It is tough but thats what the visa office specific appendix A said (i.e. to get originals, etc). I think under the new rules, this helps in expediting the process (i am of course guessing).

Sending all documents by courier is one obligation or just geographical reason only. I always use to submit documents in perso, as embassy is just 3 blocks from my home, so why not in person all documents if we can do this ? it will save time and a sure submittion too.

About degrees in university sealed envelope, im sure its visa specific requirements , as my visa office need me to submitt educational, professional documents etc, this is all they requested me , they even havent requested orignals and no any note for degrees in sealed envelope or any transcripts etc.

Hi
Thanks. In case of professional qualification(as in my case) what I should do regarding educational documents?

A transcript is taken, put inside a envelope (hopefully an envelope with the university name printed on it), and then closed and then a seal (university stamp) put on the flap.

I completed my degree in year 2002 and didnt get any universitysealed envelopes. i have all original certficates...I am thinking to notarize all my degree certficates and send to visa office.

Will it be enough????

a degree certificate is different from transcript. You should read the appendix A for your visa office. You need both degree certificate and transcripts. One a notarized photocopy and one original in a university sealed envelope.

wht is difference between these two??

1. The degree certificates shows you have graduated.
2. The transcripts are your mark sheets.

Transcripts is a document issued by the University from where you did your bachelor or master's degree. To get a transcript from the unversity first submit an application with photocopies of the mark sheet, then pay the required fee and the university will issue a transcript after stipulated time period (at my place 20 days).

In the transcript details regarding examination appeared with date and marks obtained in different subjects will be mentioned.
they do not put your mark sheet in a envelope and seal it as some members has written. I am sure this will clear what is transcript and how to get it.

I have 8 semester marks sheets means I have transcripts.
I have final degree certficated issue by university. It means I have both..

If I notarize the xerox copies of all marksheets and final degree certficate, Will it be enough for FSW1 application?
