Best if you can get a 'work is in Canada' letter but depends on your HR.
 
I have lost the PR status due to residency; however, I want to re-apply for the PR status again. Can I still maintain my bank account till the time I get the PR status.

Yes, your bank account will not disappear just because your lost your PR status so nothing will happen to it.
