I am planning to immigrate to Canada in near future. Before that I have couple of queries to discuss for my Visa application.
1. I am going to get divorce soon from my current marriage. If I proceed with the Visa Application do Right now, do I need to submit any proof of my divorce? Or I need to wait to apply for my visa application untill I get officially divorced.
2. If I get Permanent Residency of Canada in near future. After how much period of time I would invite my new spouse to Canada If I get married in India. Are there any terms and conditions to sponser your spouse ? Is there is minimum time period to show of our stay in India while processing Visa Application for my spouse .
1. You will need to submit proof (documentation) that you are getting divorced. The divorce doesn't have to be final.
2. There is no minimum wait time to sponsor a new spouse in your situation. However you'll obviously have to get divorced before you can remarry. You will also have to provide proof your second marriage is genuine. Also, as a PR, you will have to be living in Canada to sponsor your spouse and you will have to continue living in Canada while the application is being processed. You will not be able to sponsor your new spouse while you are in India. Also, it's quite likely your new spouse will not be granted a TRV to visit you in Canada while the application is being processed. So you will have to be separated for a while during the sponsorship process.
Thank you for your reply.
Well, I also need to know Do I need to wait to process my Visa application until I get my divorce officially. Although the person from whom I getting devorced is already separated from me. Only official process is pending.
