Requesting advice for VISA Appication To Humber College(Global Business Mgmt)

Hi Everybody,am new to this forum so pls excuse me if i make mistakes.
I have Done BCA(Bachelor Of Computer Applications) in 2009 and later pursued a certificate course in VFX(Visual Effects) which completed last month.
I want to apply for a Visa for the Jan 2011 session and i have chosen Global Business Management from Humber College,Toronto.
I have got 7.5 bands overall in IELTS and i already have got the offer letter from humber college for the same course.I wanted to know if this course is relevant to opt for as i am concerned with the CHC's approval for my visa.
Also this course is supposed to be of 2 yrs duration(it states 4 Semesters) but the offer letter i ve received states the course START DATE-Jan 10 2011 and course Completion date By MAY-2012, which makes it 16 month course,so am worried whether i ll get a 2 yr visa or jus 16 months visa,also whether i l get a 3 yr work permit after that or not?
Please Help Me out if anyone of u have opted for the same course....

Hi apssidhu

It all depends on the mood of visa officer, whether to approve you or reject you. There have been many mile stones on this forum itself who were really genuine students and still got rejected. One of the guy on this forum has the same qualification of yours BCA and applied to Enterprise software development course in humber but got rejected on basis of the selected course is not in light with the past study. On contrary to above example i was the luck one who got visa as i also applied for the same EST in humber but the only difference was that i was a BCOM graduate. Now this would have some what cleared your doubt about the course selection stuff. Apart from this lets move to your other question...I am going for EST course (2 yrs -4 sem)..my course starts sept 7 2010 and end date is may 2012..which makes it 20 months..but i have got my visa for 2 years...and as far as work permit is concerned they will grant us 3 years of work permit on 2 years of course..I hope this was what you were looking for and might have helped you a bit...
