I am a UK citizen and I submitted my Canada IEC Visa application 2 weeks ago with no doubt that I uploaded all the correct documentation and completed all information correctly.
However, I have a new message requesting that I get an FBI check. I have never been to visit or lived in the USA or anywhere in America so I don't see any reason why this has been requested. I am hoping this is a mistake on their behalf as I never read anywhere that a UK citizen who has never been to the USA needs an FBI check. Please could somebody shed some light on whether there may be a reason I have been requested to provide this?
