We got our PR cards today. Timeline is as below (Toronto).

Landed: Feb 12, 2016
Photos resubmitted to CIC: Apr. 18, 2016
Photos reached to CIC: Apr. 21, 2016
PR cards mailed by CIC: July 4, 2016
PR Cards received: July 15, 2016

YES!!!! after the announcement on july 11 about the restoring of the normal collaboration with the postal system, it looks like maaaany pr cards finally reached us!!!

- new photos received by CIC on april 25

- PR Cards received july 15

Guys I just wanted to know if photos requested are not reached to cic ( may be misplaced by postal mail) do cic requests again for the same . I ve landed in February . Sent pics in April . Contacted cic twice n they say as usual they don't have clue if photos are requested . Thy can't even confirm its reached or not

I do not think CIC would ask for one-time photo resubmission twice. And yes, there is a 'possibility' that photos be misplaced by the postal service. Did you send your photos by registered mail?

CIC Received Photo: June 16
PR Card dispatched: July 12

Now, I am just waiting for it to arrive on mailbox. Hoping to receive it within this week.

The long wait is finally over. Behold the most awaited PR Card. Below is my timeline.

Landed: April 08
Photo Request: June 09 (through email)
CIC Received Photo: June 16
PR Card dispatched: July 12
PR Card received: July 21 (Edmonton Alberta)

Mine has been in production since June 29. Yours will hopefully be faster.

Regular mail is still quite reliable. In my case, it took them 2 months after my photos were shipped to CIC to update my file and acknowledge the receipt.
