Can someone suggest a way forward for my sister who was advised to withdraw from her course after the first session in her first year of a 4 years Nursing programme at the University of Reginal. She has missed the new admission for this Fall (Sept 2021) but plans to apply to another school against Jan 2022.
The questions are:
How can she maintain her student status before she gets a new admission?
Does she need to inform IRCC when she gets another admission?
If she gets a new admission for a duration that is less than her earlier admission (4 years), will IRCC invalidate her earlier Study permit duration and issue another SP for a shorter duration?
What other options can she explore?
Thank you all in anticipation for a practical solution.

She attended an online class and it was her first time as an 18 years old girl. Apparently, she failed 3 out of the 6 courses that she wrote due to the new technology environment.

1. She is withdrawn from her program, there is no other way to maintain her status from the same DLI, unless if she returns to the same DLI, then she can request updated LOA and enrolment letter before entering Canada
2. If she get another admission from the same DLI, provided it is same area of specialization and course duration, she can update via webform
3. IRCC doesn't reissue SP automatic. If she gets new DLI, she need to apply new SP. IRCC will invalidate her SP after receiving compliance report from DLI that she is withdrawn. technically, that invalidate LOA, and eventually SP
4. Its up to her to take other course of action, reflect her ability to take course load

If she withdrawn, then her study permit is no longer valid. You can't apply for extension since the permit is already invalidated. And that means also she is in Canada without status.
