My course at the college is now finished, and my insurance is ending tomorrow. However, I am still doing my co-op at one of the Government of Ontario's ministries which is also ending in a week. I've applied for jobs but have not received a final offer yet. I am worried about the Health insurance that is ending tomorrow. What are my options here? Should I buy personal health insurance (most require OHIP coverage, which I obviously don't have), or should I purchase temporary visitor insurance?

Unfortunately most travel medical insurance policies require you to purchase them before coming to Canada. They are also just emergency medical policies so won’t cover routine care. You seem to be looking at extended health plans that provide coverage for prescriptions, physio, etc. and are usually provided through employers. The policies that individuals can purchase often have huge deductibles and limited coverage so it usually makes sense to just pay out of pocket. Unfortunately you will likely have to go without insurance until you find a full-time job that is scheduled to last over 6 months.
