Renewing Passport while waiting for PPR

Hi Guys,

I have to renew my passport as it expires in a few months time, I already have received AOR in February 10th 2016. whats the process for updating the CIC with my new passport information when I receive it? and will this cause any issues with my application?

Send a copy of the new passport via Case Specific Enquiry. They will update your file in about two weeks. NOpe, no delay or any issue.

Hello! Do we need to ask for permission or request before we renew the passport? Or we just have to renew it and send them via CSI? my passport page is almost full so I need to renew it. Pls advice me. thanks

No need to ask for permission. Just renew the passport and let them know of the new passport number once you receive it.

In my case I did not receive any such communication that my passport is updated. But I sent my both passport for stamping and there was no issues.

Hi, may I ask did you get your new passport before getting PPR? I'm waiting for my renewed passport which should arrive in about two weeks. At the same time, I called CIC and knew that my application has been approved. So idk if I should raise CSE once I get my passport since my application has been approved already.. but I'm still waiting for PPR...
