renew health card

i have a PR status and I was out , and planning to return to canada soon
my question can I renew the health card with an approaching to expire PR card

If you were outside Canada for more than 6 months, you may have lost your health care which means you would have to do the waiting period again if you are in ON or BC. Otherwise, I don't see a problem.
