I entered all the employment records in my work history, got ITA and now need to submit documents, realized that CIC has specific requirements for the work history records.
I entered 4 employment records, the last 3 records has no problem because the companies still around and I managed to get all the documents required, but the first employment record, the company has closed down more than 10 years now. I can't get anyone to provide any documents regarding my employment for this company, and the documents that I have for this employment not even close to the requirements that CIC requested.
Do advice what is the best approach for me to resolve it.
1. Remove this record from work history and put it under personal history? Will it impact my score or application?
2. Write a letter to inform that the company has closed down and no way to provide the documents as required?
3. Any suggestion??

Yes,you can remove it and put it under personal history. I did the same thing. Make sure, rest of your experiences are collectively more than 3 years in total. I pasted copies of my excluded experience letter in LOE, in case they want to have a look at it.
Duties matter, designations don't. If you want, you can but I don't think CIC will object to it. As long as your duties match an NOC, any designation is good.
