My first attempt was with BC on 29 June
L 9
R 9
W 7
S 6.5(EOR was unsuccessful)
First attempt was with full dedication.
Got disheartened but one of my friends persuaded me to take the test again and also I avoided filling Canada Immigration.
In my second attempt,I didn't prepare at all and just went in with a clear mind and cracked it.
I recieved my IELTS score today, which is,LRWS:8.5,8,6,7.5.
(Score in my previous attempt is : LRWS : 8.5,7.5,6.5,6.5)
I took exam at Toronto and examination is conducted under BC.
I am confident enough that my writing is way better than what I was marked. So, I am applying for EOR.
What would be chances of increase in score and how long do you guys think it'll take for getting the new results?
Hello everyone. I took IELTS BC and my scores were LRWS 9,7.5,6.5,8. I applied for EOR for writing alone. I got a message from BC which read what I pasted below. Is this a sign that my score changed? People in my country who received messages for unchanged scores just got a message telling them their results were ready and not this type. I am not trying to give myself false hope. I just want to know if one can predict his scores from the mail he receives. Thank you.
Dear Candidate,
I hope you are well.
This is to inform you that your feedback has returned from the EOR Team in the UK.
Kindly visit our Lagos office at your convenience to pick your result with your international passport and original copy of your initial result, if it was not submitted at the time of your application. This is because, if there is a change in any of your initial scores, we MUST retrieve the old copy before issuing a new one that reflects new score(s); otherwise, you will maintain the initial copy of your result.
Please ensure you come along with your original EOR receipt for your full refund to be processed if you have a changed result. Please note that you are to submit your refund form with the attached copy of the IELTS score change letter received with your Test Report Form as supporting evidence for your refund.
Hello everyone. I wrote IELTS UKVI on 20/07/2019. Score was LRWS 8.5, 8, 6.5,8.
I applied for EOR on 08/08/2019 and the new result was LRWS 8.5, 8, 7, 8.
I've been using English on a daily basis for the past 9 years and I graduated from a Canadian university as well. I took IELTS GT for the first time last Friday and my results came back this morning:
L 8.5
R 7.5
W 6.5
S 8.5
Overall: 8
I'm super frustrated with the writing score because I had always been good at writing in school. I did over 20 practice topics in the span of a month. I watched E2 Language videos and spent days reading IELTS Liz too. I thought if anything I'd at least get a 7. My partner is a native speaker and I got him to review all my essays, usually the only mistakes he could find were a few punctuation problems, which I'm aware of as well.
I really thought I'd at least get a 7 to be honest. My question is, should I apply for a re-evaluation? I've been following the thread and it seems the chance of getting 6.5 to 7 is quite good. Should I go for it? I still have time to wait for now and I can still retake the test, but I wanna see what you guys would think of my situation. Thank you!
Hey,
I understand your frustration. I took the exam on 27th July and was very confident that I would get at least a 7 in writing. Unfortunately I scored only 6.5. My other scores were LRS 9 9 8 and overall 8. I applied for EOR on 18th August and got a negative reply on 27th. But I would still suggest that you take a chance and apply for EOR. All the best
