Dear all,
I have applied for a course which has total tuition fees 13050 cad( ie Rs 7,17,70/- ) got LOA and paid 7830 cad( Rs 4,30,650/-) as first installment tuition fees.
As my education loan is getting delayed I have kept all our gold and got loan for Rs 8,50,000/- which is eqvlnt to 15454 CAD and sanctioned letter from bank ( they also stated purpose of loan as for my education ). My query is whether it is ok for applying student visa?
(total expenditure is tuition fees 13,050 + one year living expense 10000 = 23050 cad)
Kindly help. Thanks in advance. May god bless.

nope buddy refer this -:
http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/canada-spp-visa-rejection-t111405.0.html;msg1610563#msg1610563
13050 fees + 10000 expense + 2000 traveling = 25050 and 80% is 20040
20040*54=
1082160 loan amt.
So, as an average loan must be 11 lakhs.
take care of it.
and best of luck.

I AM NOT AN EXPERT, HOWEVER
I THINK THAT'S FINE, I KNOW BUNCH OF PEOPLE WHO TOOK A LOAN OF RS.7.5 LACS FOR THERE 2YEAR DIPLOMA AND GOT THEIR VISA, THIS 80% OF TUITION FEES+LIVING+TRAVELING IS NOT A HARD AND FAST RULE, TO BE HONEST, HOWEVER IT IS BETTER IF THE AMOUNT IS CLOSE TO IT.
ALSO ITS BETTER THAT YOU SPEAK TO SOME PROFESSIONAL AGENTS IF YOU ARE FROM DELHI THEN CALL CANAM, EDWISE, IDP, THE CHOPRAS, THEY DON'T CHARGE ANY FEES JUST CALL THEM AND DON'T TELL THAT YOU HAVE ALREADY APPLIED TELL THEM YOU WILL APPLY THROUGH THEM SO ASK THEM WHAT ARE THE FORMALITIES AND HOW MUCH IS THE LOAN REQUIRED? THEY WILL TELL YOU AND WOULDN'T CHARGE A SINGLE PENNY

Once again i advice ,not to take risk
One can only apply under SPP once.
So, take care.

Hi Rakesh,
As far as i know it is 80% of total expenses as said by everyone above but it is when you have not paid the fees. In your case, u have already paid 4.5 lakhs so the education loan should be 80% of the remaining amount.
Even i paid 1st sem fees (Rs.3.5 lakhs) from my pocket and took loan of Rs 8.5 lakhs, applied for Visa under SPP and got it in 5 days..
You have Rs 1 lakh extra which makes your file even stronger.
Dont worry dude...just apply for Visa and keep praying to GOD

thanks for all the replies brothers,
Well, Yes I have paid first installment fees from my pocket and my consultants told me the loan amount I have applied for is adequate. They have given me an example also...
Calculation of Bank Loan:
Case 1: If Student Pay first semester of tuition in advance then loan amount will be Second Semester Tuition fee + $10,000 CAD. E.g. Program tuition fee is $ 12,800 CAD. You have paid $ 6400 CAD now your loan amount is ($ 6400 + $10,000) $ 16,400 CAD @ 52 = 8, 52,800 INR.
Case 2: If student Pay full tuition in one Go then Loan amount will be only yours living expenses i.e. $10,000 CAD @ 52 = 5, 20,000 INR.
Case 3: If student want to pay everything from Bank loan only. Your loan amount will be 80 % of full tuition fee + $10,000 CAD. E.g. Your program tuition is ($12,800 CAD + $10,000 CAD) $ 22,800 CAD @ 52 = 11,85,600 INR. Loan amount is 80 % of 11, 85,600 INR that is 9,48,480 INR.
Anyways I think getting a visa, its all depends on our fate and luck. Anyways hope for the best

and best wishes to u all
