Anyone after 6/26 who cc/bd was charged with the academic IELTS TRF?
I already have had an IELTS score (academic task) and have to resit again(general module) by the end of this month.
Someone on this forum said that CIO may have crossed the limit of applications within few weeks.
How should I do?
1.Send my previous IELTS TRF (academic task). It's too risk that they may refuse my case.
2.take the test again (general one). It's may proprably passed the NOC list limitation.
Thanks

Either way is a risk to take, its upto you to make the decision..My personal opinion would be since both are a risky thing to do, I would still take the risk of submitting my academic IELTS, why? I beleive the reason is they want us to have an IELTS for them to gauge us (Immigrants) if we are capable of communicating in english. Before, they would only require you to present at least a document that tells them that your mode of teaching in school or communications in office are in english and with this method, they can not really gauge us accurately. The only way for them to document this time is by using a standardized program like IELTS. Well, this is just my opinion okay. As I said its upto you to take the risks.

Many thanks for ur advice.
It's made me decided to apply next week.
Hope CIO doesn't take an english test as a main filter.

Hi carl, sorry but I have to disagree, but based on how I see that CIC works, they are a bit strict in documentation. Its explicitly stated in the CIC website to submit a General IELTS exam result. I dont think there would be any harm if you comply right? It would be such a hassle to re-submit documents should it be rejected and time consuming as well. So if you are going to do it, I say better do it by the book, or should I say by the CIC website.

I had passed the same case,And my consultant advise me to set and send the Academic IELTS result.
Now I sent it to catch the new cap system.

Yup, I understand that too, but right now, nobody really knows if the cap is already met or if its still open. Thats why its a risk that they have to take. and chima1980 good luck with your decisions and I hope we can make it. Actually, from the time we submitted our papers until now, we are praying and at the same time holding our breaths everytime we check our mails.

Academic score is valid under new rules.
