Refunding OWP fees

I applied for PR and OWP at the same time. My OWP was returned due to insufficient fees which I paid and resubmitted.

Now my PR has been approved and I’ve got my landing interview in a couple of weeks.

Is it safe to assume that the OWP will not be processed and my fee will be refunded? Or should I go ahead and cancel the OWP application?

I’m on implied status as I also submitted an extension of visitor record.

Any insight would be appreciated.

If the OWP application has started processing, I don't think that you get any fees back.

Update:

I submitted a Withdrawal of application webform and received this response -

“......A note has been added on file to notify the responsible office that you wish to withdraw your application. The office will determine if the application can be withdrawn and will issue a refund within 16 weeks of the withdrawal, if applicable....”

Now we wait
