As a refugee claimant working as a caregiver in Canada, can I apply to Home Support Worker or Home Child Care Provider pilots if I have the experience therein?

Unfortunately you can only apply if you leave Canada.

Unfortunately you must have valid temporary resident status at the time this work experience is gained in order to qualify for this program.

If you gained this experience on a work permit granted to you as a refugee, you won't qualify to apply and won't be able to use this work experience towards the program even if you leave Canada and apply from outside of Canada.

All applicants must have had temporary resident status during the period of work experience acquired in Canada. Only authorized work will be counted towards the work experience requirement. The authorized work experience may be acquired under any combination of authorized work permits.

I must say I don’t agree with you answer apparently you have old information. Because new criteria covers in-Canada refugee claimants. See below

Thank you for updating us. Not sure if that will make a candidate viewed less favourably. Shows how difficult it is to find caregivers.
