I have RTD , traveled to Germany and Mexico ,
I wanna apply for Schengen Visa , anyone has gotten Schengen Visa on RTD ? Which country is easier to apply , how long is the visa ?
Many countries limit your stay to 1 month. In general would encourage you to focus on establishing your life in Canada while you are applying for PR. How long do you want to stay abroad?

No you should be fine. Expect normal questioning and specific questioning about whether you returned to your home country if it is a neighbouring country to Turkey. Many protected people have used RTDs to travel without problems.

Hi.. thnx for reply in detail... Can the form be submitted to service canada office??? And what about the ceased passport of my origin country are they going to ask for it ?? The passport is with cbsa ? The the seizure notice i had with is lost unfortunately
They will not ask for your ceased passport, as a protected person, they actually don't expect you having/being in possession of your national passport. As for where to submit the form, do not send it to Service Canada but rather here (and only here):
Government of Canada
Certificate of Identity Section
Passport Program
Gatineau, QC K1A 1L2
Canada
For RTD application they are asking for the notice of decision (originAl) will they return the original copy or not??? Becuase iwant to keep it with me while traveling
Looking for help when filling out a Schengen visa application for a French visa. When I indicate that Canada issued my travel document it just tells me I don't need a visa and I can't proceed with my application. Those of you who have done it what was the workaround? I know that I do need a visa, but not sure what to select so it lets me apply.

Keep running into conflicting information on this. Is there a place to read about it?
A check on https://www.iatatravelcentre.com showed that i need a visa to France.
Also, I am flying home out from Amsterdam but will only visit the Netherlands for a couple of days prior to departing.
If French visa is not required I guess I need to get one for the Netherlands?
[QUOTE = "live & love, post: 7766352, member: 752354"] Si vous vous rendez en France, vous n'avez pas besoin de visa avec le titre de voyage pour réfugiés. [/ QUOTE]
Only for saint pierre et miquelon island ... for metropolitan france , you need a visa !

Believe Germany is the only Western EU country that doesn’t require a visa with RTD. There are now more border controls vs 4 years ago so would get a visa for every country you are visiting. Also good idea to verify in writing with the country’s embassy.
Yes, I am not planning to go without a visa. Just can't get anyone to talk to about this. Their phone number sends you to the website and that's it.
French embassy has here terrible reviews here too.
