They firmly and persistently reject the idea of in-person pick up for RTDs. So no RTDs will be received during the CUPW strike.

I applied for mine on October, 29th.
Previously held a 5 year validity RTD, permanent resident for many years, citizenship application in the process too. Solid references and guarantors who knew me for 10+ years. You would think it's a very straightforward case to approve - yet they held it for almost a month now.
Yesterday they told me my document was "successfully mailed" to me on November, 29th. So far I dont see any signs of successful mailing, i.e. I dont see the document.
I wonder if they simlly mark them as mailed and then wait till the end of strike

Have you received your RTD

For my both travel documents I never received anything that they mailed it to me until I receive them. It’s because of the strike. My friend’s work permit extended and mailed but did not receive it yet because of the strike.

They mailed out via purolator not canada post.

Has anyone spoken to them regarding the postal service disruption? I am waiting to receive an urgent RTD and worried that canadapost strike may delay it. Would they offer in person pick up or alternative mailing options?
So I received mine today…it was posted via purolator courier

Thank you for letting us know, it gives a little bit of hope. Did they tell you when they mailed it? How long did it take? I have not received mine so far. My last hope was that perhaps it's purolator ground, but it's been 4 business days since they "successfully mailed" it, and I am in Gatineau, 15 min from them. I am afraid my document is held till the end of the strike.

So they never sent me any email…I was home and the guy from purplator dropped..so I don’t really know the exact date it was sent

They don't send emails about it. We know the "shipping date" because we contacted them ourselves. However, it is unclear whether they actually shipped or simply marked them as shipped on the system. Was your application flagged as urgent?
Why would they mail the documents to some people and hold other people's documents is another mystery to me.
