Hello guys! Have any of you 2023 refugee claimants started getting hearings? Could you please share your timeline?

I claimed asylum in 2023 February, in Montreal. My case was referred to Irb in 2023 August. I haven’t received a hearing date yet.
 
Hi! It seems like we're in a similar situation. I applied in May 2023, and my case was referred to the IRB in September 2023. Still waiting for a hearing date as well.
 
I am a Chinese ethnic minority. I have been waiting for almost two years. I am ready to return to my wife's country, Germany. But if the refugee application is cancelled, can I get my visa and leave? Or can I only go back to China? I want to apply for a German family visa in Canada, but I need a passport. But after the refugee application is cancelled, I am worried that I will not have enough time to get a German visa. I am almost depressed here. I have no job and have a lot of debts.

Hi when did you hear that you were gonna get a hearing? When did they let you know.
 
I got the hearing in January 2025. I recommend everyone to find a lawyer. I mean reliable. I was about to give up because I waited for 17 months, but after I found a lawyer, I found that a lot of information was wrong or missing. And they won't tell you but the lawyers can see
