Reference letter from the Employer

Hi I am applying PR under CEC in Dec,2013 and wanna know if there is a particular format to follow for the reference letter from the Employer??? what is the Standard format for the letter??
Do I need to ask my Employer to write down the day to day duties and tasks as well, coz employer agreed to write down the main responsibilities in the letter?? Is there any difference between main responsibilities and Day to Day tasks??

I really recommend doing a search on this forum if you would like a template
And only you know if your day to day job varies from the main responsibilities!
Just remember to make sure your duties are similar (but not copied) to your noc code.
