Hello,
I am applying for express entry under CEC. I worked for Lexis Nexis but I was contracted with an agency. I was on payroll of an agency.
Is reference letter from agency valid or it needs to come from the company?
Reference letter from the agency is valid.
Just further to what Asivad said. I was like you employed on a 'Contract of Service' for 3 months. I was also on the payroll of a recruitment agency, but was in essence a 'de-facto employee' as I worked hours set by the 'company (client)', used the computer and software provided by the company (client), did all the work set by the company (client), and essentially worked in the client's team. Here's what I used:
1) Reference letter from agency confirming pay, hrs worked, that I was employed on a 'Contract of Service' on letterhead
2) Reference letter from company confirming hrs worked, duties performed, designation employed under and hierarchy within the team I worked in
3) Payslips from agency
4) T4 from Agency
If you need any other help please let me know, and I will do my best to help you.
