Here is my situation
・Jun.29,2023: got a refusal letter for PGWP extension (under public policy)
・Jul.4,2023: submitted a reconsideration request with some documents (bank statement, T4, an offer letter) through webform ***No response and update
Any idea how long does the IRCC take to open the reconsideration request?
Should I wait more or reapply??

There are no timelines for reconsideration requests and IRCC doesn’t have to re-open your file. Reconsideration is for those who saw an error in law and don’t need to resubmit new documents. Depending on your reasons for refusal, you may just have wanted to reapply. Assume you stopped working on July 4.

Their refusal reason was so vague, and I submitted a request through my lawyer. I'll reapply anyway. Thank you

My case is re-opened.
It was originally refused on August 21st 2023 (2 year closed work permit application with spouse and 1 dependant). My immigration consultant and I applied for Reconsideration on Sept 19 2023. We received the ATIP notes on Oct 10th (VO made a mistake regarding our application and the Free Trade Agreement), we did send another document on Oct 16 as an annex to our reconsideration. On Oct 18 our application was re-opened. We've been asked to submit an updated job offer letter.

According to my immigration consultant, my 're-opened- case can take up to 12 weeks in processing time (she told me to check canada.ca web page for updated processing times in my country).

Glad they re-opened your file. Unfortunately reconsideration is not a formal process with processing times. It can take weeks to months.
Try to upload work permit copy and an explanation letter saying it’s under public policy and each every detail that got missed and recheck ur refusal letter
