How much time is given to the applicant to add the newborn baby ? for instance for a schedule A ADR I was given 7 days, its mission impossible if someone is given the same time to add the baby as passport can take up to 12 days to delivered.

I got 30 days. But when I submitted my request I was already ready with all the docs. My VO was Ottawa

Within 2 days of submitting docs. The child was added- uci was generated and the child was showing in dependents

Thanks, not really my case as I already have COPR and I am expecting the baby in March, I am wondering what will happen in that case, visa and COPR revoked for sure, maximum stress right now.

There is nothing to be stressed be here. Do you think they will cancel your copr and not give you another one because you have had a baby? Don’t take undue tension in life when there is absolutely no need of one.

Timelines are tights, that's the origin of stress, imagine the case taking longer than expected.

Or look for an alternative, landing before my wife gives birth and then sponsoring my child later on, I can't guarantee that passport application will be smooth and fast, that is something out of my reach, I hope you understand my worry.
I think you perfectly understand the amount of effort that such project requires, and fail after success with no fault of my own will be hard to swallow.

If you land before birth. Then there is absolutely no need for sponsoring. That’s because your child will be a Canadian citizen in that case

Yes thanks, at the condition that my wife land with me with is quite remote right now (advanced pregnancy), I am referring to landing on my own and then later on bringing my child through sponsorship.

Go for option 3
It does not take several months to add a newborn. I added my newborn after AOR and before ppr. I got ppr in around 4.5 months. Here also it should not take that much. Especially for a new born kid they don’t even do Security or criminality. Its just the medicals and that’s it. It should not take that long. In fact I know someone on this forum itself. In her case it took just a month for them to issue a new ppr. She added newborn after ppr.
