Reapply for IEC

Hi,
I am an Australian living in Canada on a 2 year IEC WHP visa. My visa expires January 19 2015 and according to everywhere I read, I can only reapply for a new IEC visa no more than 12 weeks before my current expires.
The Australian quota for these visas is getting low and statistically will all be gone by the time 12 weeks before expiry comes around.
Does anyone know any way around this? Is there a way I can secure a place? I really don’t want to lose my job and everything here in Canada.

Did you read the FAQ for IEC Australia?

1. Is the number of places limited? What is the quota?

There is no limit on the quota for 2014.

Yes, the quota is 11,350.
As of Sept 18 there are 1078 places left...since it was previously updated 13 days before this, 700 more have been taken.
This info is on this site...right side of page.

Thats what it says, but the FAQ says different

Yes, I have been told the FAQ is wrong as they have not updated the FAQ since these new quota rules came in.
