Ankit,
would you get the break if you didnt have the US job experience?
how much did this help you, what do you think?

I am not sure if I can answer this. Would I have got the job w/o US experience, I do not know but I market this during my interview.

But I think it should not be a detterent if you have good soft skills

Guys good news is that I got a job offer today

It is in my field, same designation where i left in India. This is a permanent job
Today is 6th working day after I landed

I also had another interview today in my field, same designation, again permanent job
I have another one on Monday, this is a contract job but same field and same designation.

This may not be average time to find jobs in Canada but as I have been saying since I landed that IT job market is good and if u have good communication and soft skills and prepare for interview well, it is not hard to find job

The job that I got is direct w/o a recruiter and this is a IT project management job for software development projects

Few Things that I did was that while in India I applied to selected suitable job with right resume. I had a Canadian address and Canadian Phone no. on my resume and I would tell the employer of my availability date in Canada over phone
Prepared for interview as advised by explorer on this forum. I give lot of credit to him for my success.
Finally luck was on my side. It is God' Blessings

Key is search internet really well, apply to selected job, prepare well and pray hard

Well, I am planning to go to Vancouver by October mid. and in the mean time I have prepared a resume but so far I haven;t included a canadian address or phone no:. Will that be a problem for me for not getting noticed in the job market? i am looking for a consultant job in Finance/Banking/ Securities domain. I m also doing Canadian Securities Course. Well lets see what happens. Congrats once again

Not having the Address is no problem but you need to have a Vancouver no. so that employers can reach you. If you are planing to land in Mid Oct start applying in Sep and get a VOIP no. from mydivert.com
