Re-evaluation of writing test

Hello all,

I gave IELTS test on 25th March and got below result:
L - 8
S - 7.5
R - 7
W - 6

Now my query is that can I apply for just re-evaluation of writing module? If yes then are there any chances of writing score going more low?
I was expecting 7 in writing and have no clue why got such low score.

Re-evaluation fee is not problem if there are even 1% of chance of score getting increased.

Please advise if someone have any similar experience? Do writing score go down in evaluation as I am afraid and it will be disaster if it goes below 6.

Just one more doubt. While my result is under re-checking can I use current score in Express Entry Application?

Re-evaluation never goes below the original score !
either you'll get an increase along with evaluation-fee back, or it'll remain unchanged with no refund !

It's worth doing, 6 to a 7 is a big jump however.

From what I've read usually half a band can be expected.

If they are off by full bands, then the marker should be fired or both of them reviewed together.

For IELTS reval, the sections that can increase are Speaking and Writing. And yes have heard about points being increased to +1 Band as well.
