It's probably that they had some "internal" updates on your application which were not visible to you. I would say do not worry too much about it. A lot of people got ghost emails before there were real updates/ppr on their applications.

I did. Technically it should speed up the process a bit by skipping the part where they ask you for RPRF - you pay it - they review it.

My CIC AOR is Aug 4.

Status:
Medicals = Passed
Criminality = Passed
My file was transferred to SGVO from Ottawa on Aug 11.

Application Assignment says:
Assign to = RC-6057 (Means Singapore)
Assign by = CG00582
Due Date = 2016/09/11
