RCMP request letter - is it a good sign?

Hi guys,
My timeline is below:
AOR: June 6,2017

medical passed: August 17 and instantly got a request letter for RCMP Record check. Also, background status is changed to : "We are processing your bg check...." on the same day

Am I in IP2? Is the RCMP request meant I passed eligibility?

1. No, it means that someone with a similar name and age has a record in CPIC. The fingerprints are to determine if you are that person or not. It will delay your application until the fingerprints are processed.

That's what I thought. But I am jsut suprised that they started background check first
