Please share your experience if you are a principal applicant and you got a RCMP fingerprints check request for your spouse who is never been in Canada and how you dealt with that situation.
I am in the same situation any sharing of past experience would be appreciated.
In imm008 and imm5659 form for your wife, did you enter Canadian address?

It means they did a name-based check for your wife, and it returned a criminal record for someone with the same name as your wife. So they now need to have a fingerprint-based check done to clear your wife. Just because you say she's never been to Canada isn't proof that it wasn't her...
You have no choice but to obtain a finger-print based clearance for your wife.
If i get my wife's fingerprints done in India and then how would i submit it to RCMP ...and paper based fingerprints take really long to process and CIC only gave me 60 days!!
Check this website: www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cr-cj/fing-empr2-eng.htm
If you are OUTSIDE OF CANADA :
contact the nearest police force which offers fingerprinting services. The RCMP will accept fingerprint forms from foreign countries that contain the following:
rolled and flat impressions of all ten fingers taken with black ink
full name, date of birth and sex of the applicant
the name and address of the police agency
the signature of the official taking the fingerprints
Once you get the fingerprints, I guess you can send it through post. Anyways, first write to Ottawa that she has never been to Canada.
