RCMP request for spouse even though it is sent

I received a RCMP request for my spouse but this is already been sent to CIC. They do say in the mail that you could disregard the request if it is already sent.

What does this mean? Has some one been in a similar situation. PLease give suggestions.

If you've already sent that document to CIC, you can write them an email telling them it has already been sent.

OK. My lawyer just now sent an email to them and also attached the GCMS notes in which it is mentioned that they received it and have added to their database.

I am a bit freaked out since yesterday when they requested RCMP check for my wife even though I had send it to them in advance and it seems to be added to my file from the GCMS notes. I have not got any reply from the CIC after my lawyer sent an email stating the above. I am kind of thinking on one side that it is good that I got some correspondence as it means my file is being processed and on the other side am worried if they lost my wife´s RCMP record and this might delay the process and take me into oblivion.

Sorry if it sounds a bit like cribbing but just if some one can tell me this happened to any one and they came out ok without any issues even though each case is a bit unique. Please if some one had similar experience just let me know.
